Weigh-In Wednesday #5

No change.  Again....meh.
 
I felt like I was looking really svelt in the mirror this morning, though!  Woot!
 
Today is my first day of 3-2-1 Class.  I am pretty excited about that!

Yes, it is already the 12th.  Hello?!  If I had my shiz together I wouldn't have to join a whole movement about it.
 
This past Monday, I did something a little out of my box.  I paid the retainer fee for my Boudoir photo shoot!  It isn't until January, so that gives me some time to get in a little bit happier place physically before then.  I am pretty excited about it.  It is great motivation for GYSTS.  Here is my plan for the next 30 or so days:
 
I am sure you have seen the "Squat Challenge" on Pinterest?  I started it this past Monday.  I have no idea who created it because the pin just links to an image.  I apologize for not being able to give credit where it is due.

And have  you seen "The 300"?  It was put together by The Petite Athleat.  You can find it here.  I also started this on Monday.  I can really only do the first two moves (however loosely you want to take that), so I also do some plain, old crunches.  As my core gets stronger, I will add in some more of the moves from the plan.
 
I have also been doing some random strength work on my arms.  My plan is to get into a more structured kettlebell routine- Like Fatchick2Fitchick's "Buh Bye Bat Wings" workout.
 
The Wellness Center at my job is slowly adding classes in as the school year progresses. When 3-2-1 begins next week on Wednesday, I will be there.  I can't go to as many of the offerings as I would like due to my school schedule, but I have committed to myself to go to at least that one class.  I am hoping to be able to add a second class in on Mondays at some point, but we will just have to see how it goes.
 
So- on "Squat Days", I will add in more strength via The 300 and kettlebells.  On Wednesdays, I will go to 3-2-1.  I am going to focus on being consistent with this first.  Over the next month, I will start to add in cardio, probably on my Elliptical.  I think it is a good plan!  If you want to join me on any or all of the above, let me know!  I love having accountability partners.

Weigh In Wednesday #4

First things first...Do you read Mama Laughlin?  Every now and then she does a "Pay It Forward" post where she features someones story in hopes that others will reach out and give in some way.  Today's post is pretty amazing.  It is about a terminally ill baby boy named Gideon, and his family's choice to look for joy in such a heartbreaking situation.  Please take the time to read their story and consider making a donation.

I can't stand that I am about to post a "gain".  I feel like if I weighed a little later in the morning, this would be a non-issue.  So much so, that I *almost* brought my scale to work with me this morning!  I guess this would be the downside of accountability. Hhhhhhhhh...

I guess I really can't complain too much since I totally had steak and a baked potato for dinner last night.  Sorry, not sorry.

Shake It Up Tuesday

I don't have a new recipe today.  Life has been pretty hectic lately, and I haven't tried anything new.  I have stuck pretty well to having my shakes though- at least during the week.  I am DYING to try a recipe I found, but I am having trouble locating the ingredients- maybe I will have time to stop in the Big City after school today...maybe.
 
T-Bear started pre-school last week.  He is such a big boy!  This is my favorite pic from that morning:
 
It's hard to believe that he is only 2.5.  He looks like he is ten in some pictures!!  One of my friends said something along the lines of, "Way to outdo us all with the sign!"  The sign is cute, huh? 
 
Too bad that I left his lunch at home and had to go back and get it! Womp womp.
 
And I think this might be my current most-favorite pic ever.  How handsome are my guys!?!
 
I didn't weigh in last week because the scale kept saying that I had gained weight and I knew that I hadn't- not really.  Andy has been home, so I have been eating dinner at night and having two shakes during the day.  The change in eating schedule had me all jacked up, and I refused to feel like I was taking a fail. 
Some NSVs:  My clothes are fitting so much better- I have some shirts that I have to stretch out every time I wear them and I haven't been having to do that anymore.  Also, I have a bird tattoo on my hip.  She has basically only had one wing since I had T.  She has two wings again!!
