Shake-It-Up Tuesday!!

Good Morning!!
 
Today I am going to share the recipe for the Butterfinger shake.  It is easily one of the most popular recipes I have come across, so I don't know it's original origin.
 
1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
1Tablespoon Sugar Free/Fat Free Buttterscotch Pudding Mix
8oz Almond Milk
6 Ice Cubes
2 Scoops Vi Shake Mix
 
Blend and serve.
 
 
I'll make an effort to take more appetizing shake pics in the future. :)  Today is my first day of school.  I'm am in kind of a weird place about it- excited, nervous, and yet dreading it and ready to get it the heck over with.  Say a little prayer for me.

I Wish I Was a Little Bit Taller...Not Really :)

I have an exciting NSV!
I am wearing a shirt I have had for years but haven't been able to wear in quite some time today.  Not only did one of my coworker's say, "You are looking smaller everyday, my friend!", BUT I keep getting asked if this is a new shirt and complimented on how cute it is.  Love it!!
 
 
Probably the thing I think about most when I picture myself smaller is what I will be wearing.  I have a really hard time finding clothes that fit well with my current oompa-loompa status.  It seems to me that anyone who manufactures plus-size clothing assumes that you must be tall.  It is extremely hard for me to find clothing that fits well (and that I can afford!) due to my pear-shaped-shortness.  I thought it would be cool to share some of my dream outfits with you.

Weigh-In Wednesday...#2

I have officially been on the Body by Vi Challenge for two weeks now.  I still feel great, and I am still enjoying it.
 
 
I didn't have a huge loss this week, but considering how I ate over the weekend, I am super pleased.  Weekends are definitely my "trouble zone". 
 
There were steaks and burgers and I just don't feel bad about it.  There are steaks and burgers in LIFE.  I don't want to just lose weight, I want a healthier life.  Foreva.

Shake it Up Tuesday

As you know if you have been reading lately, I am on the Body by Vi Challenge.  I LOVE IT!
 
Just like anything else, I think it would be super easy to get in a rut and use the same shake recipes all of the time.  I thought it would be a cool idea to share a new recipe I have tried each week.  This week's comes from my very dear friend, Michelle.
 
Strawberry Shortcake Shake
 
2 Scoops Vi Shake Mix
8oz Coconut Water
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
6 Ice cubes (optional)
 
Oh my stinkin' heck!!  This is probably my favorite recipe I have tried so far.  I didn't think to take  a picture, but trust me when I say that it even looks divine.

Weigh-In Wednesday

My first week on The Challenge is officially over!

Bringing my MyFitnessPal total pounds lost since January to 21.4.
 
I have finally surpassed 20lbs and I have finally broken up with 218.  I'm pretty stinkin' happy about that!

Ch-ch-changes

First up, I am switching from Weigh Day Friday to Weigh-In Wednesday.  Wednesday is when I started the Challenge, so it seems logical to just go with it.  Have you joined The Challenge yet?
 
 
The Challenge has been easier than I anticipated SO FAR.  The weekend is upon us, and this will be the true test for me.  I am totally patting myself on the back for the last three days, though.  We have had events at work every. single. day.  With the temptation of three different kinds of cake, cobbler, Chick-Fil-A chicken minis, brownies, donuts and more- I have only indulged in a tiny bit of brisket and sausage on Day 1.
 
The shakes are seriously delish.  For lunch today, I made one with 8 oz of Trop 50, the Visalus Strawberry Phyto Powder, and of course the Visalus Vi-Shape Shake Mix.  It was like a party in my mouth.  Definitely a recipe I will be repeating.
 
Are there any changes you want to make?  Whatever it is- losing weight, taking up running, learning to crochet- YOU CAN DO IT.

Starting Something New...

My weight has held pretty steady the last several weeks.  I fluctuate between 218 and 220-ish.  Since school is about to start and my life is about to get crazy again, I decided to try something new.  My sister-in-law, Audrey, invited me to go with her to a Visalus party last week.  I wanted to spend some time with her and I wanted to taste the shakes and see what the big deal was, so I went with her.

 
The shakes were delicious.
 
 
For real.
 
 
Jessica, the host, made us two different recipes.  One was a sort of a tropical sunrise type thing with orange juice and strawberries.  It was good!  The second was Butterfinger.  Oh my stinkin' heck!!  It seriously tasted like a Butterfinger.  I can get with that.  Jessica gave us each a couple of sample packets to try on our own.  I did mine with 1 tablespoon of sugar free chocolate pudding mix, almond milk, and instant coffee.  It's amazing!
 
 
I am officially starting the challenge today!

My weight as of this morning was 218.8.
